MEVA – Math E-Learning Virtual Academy
1. Purpose
MEVA is committed to providing a respectful, safe, and positive online learning environment for all students.
2. Expectations for Students
Students are expected to:
- Treat all participants with respect and courtesy
- Use appropriate language in all spoken and written communication
- Follow teacher instructions during online sessions
- Avoid any behaviour that disrupts learning for others
3. Online Behaviour
During live classes, students should:
- Join from a quiet space where possible
- Use their own name on the platform
- Keep microphones muted when not speaking
- Use chat tools responsibly and for learning-related questions
4. Respect for Privacy
Students must not record, screenshot, or share lesson content, teacher explanations, or images of classmates without explicit permission from MEVA.
5. Inappropriate Behaviour
Bullying, harassment, discrimination, or any kind of hateful or threatening language is not tolerated. MEVA will address incidents promptly and may:
- Discuss concerns with the student and family
- Set behaviour expectations and consequences
- Remove a student from a session or program in serious cases
6. Digital Citizenship
MEVA encourages responsible digital citizenship, including:
- Protecting personal login details and private information
- Respecting the intellectual property of others
- Using technology in ways that support learning
