MEVA – Math E-Learning Virtual Academy
1. Commitment
MEVA is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all students.
2. Inclusion & Respect
All students are treated with dignity and respect, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability.
3. Bullying & Harassment
MEVA has zero tolerance for bullying, harassment, or discrimination. Any concerns raised by students or families will be taken seriously and addressed promptly.
4. Communication with Families
MEVA works collaboratively with families to support student well-being. Parents/guardians are encouraged to inform MEVA of any needs or circumstances that may affect learning.
5. Accommodations
Within the limits of an online learning environment, MEVA will make reasonable efforts to accommodate learning needs and preferences. This may include:
- Adjusted pacing or flexible deadlines
- Alternative ways to show understanding
- Additional check-ins or support sessions
6. Safety in Online Settings
MEVA uses secure platforms for instruction and communication. Students and families are reminded:
- Not to share meeting links publicly
- To protect personal information and passwords
- To report any unsafe or uncomfortable interactions to MEVA as soon as possible
