1. School Overview
MEVA – Math E-Learning Virtual Academy is an Ontario-based online academy specializing in Grade 9–12 mathematics. MEVA focuses on clear explanations, guided practice, and building student confidence.
2. Mission
To empower students to understand and enjoy mathematics, develop strong problem-solving skills, and access future educational and career opportunities.
3. Program Focus
MEVA offers support and instruction in:
- Grade 9 Mathematics (MTH1W)
- Grade 10 Mathematics (MPM2D)
- Grade 11 Functions (MCR3U / MCF3M)
- Grade 12 Advanced Functions (MHF4U)
- Grade 12 Calculus & Vectors (MCV4U)
- Grade 12 Data Management (MDM4U)
As MEVA grows, additional courses and pathways may be introduced in line with student needs.
4. Instructional Model
MEVA delivers live online instruction using tools such as Google Classroom and Google Meet. Lessons typically include:
- Concept explanations and examples
- Guided practice with feedback
- Independent practice and review
- Support for tests, exams, and long-term goals
5. Assessment & Reporting
Assessment is ongoing and uses a variety of tools, including quizzes, assignments, and problem-solving tasks. Families may receive updates on progress and written summaries of achievement on request.
